Mikhaila Richards, MS is the Senior Program Analyst for the National Association of County and City Health Officials's (NACCHO) Health Equity and Social Justice Initiatives. She led website strategy development, content creation and web content project management for “Roots of Health Inequity: A Web-Based Course for the Public Health Workforce” (rootsofhealthinequity.org). Roots of Health Inequity is an online course and learning collaborative that helps public health practitioners recognize and act more effectively on the social injustices at the root of health inequity.

Before joining NACCHO, Ms. Richards created social media content about health equity and social justice and edited print content and provided support for domestic and global health projects at Georgetown University. Her experiences also include writing, editing, and presenting customized briefs used for competitive intelligence and research trials, and creating web content on industry conferences and journal articles for health care services professionals. Ms. Richards earned a B.A. in Government from Smith College and a M.S. in Society, Human Development and Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Ms. Richards has an exciting blend of experiences in public health, web content development and strategy, instructional design, and media development.
